Talavera
is an art form that has its roots starting in the 16th Century.
Original styles have been influenced with Spanish, Arabic, Italian
and Chinese origins. The Spaniards brought the technique to Mexico
with a distinctive style that came from Talavera de la Reina,
a city in the central part of Spain. From there it developed
into a contemporary art form that is still extremely popular
that many villages were built just to support the making of the
numerous forms that can be purchased today.
Talavera Pottery is available in hundreds and hundreds of styles
and designs. Some of our most popular pieces are Planters, Flower
Pots, Hanging Wall Animals, Light Switch Plate covers, and even
Stove Burner plate covers. Browse through some of our samples
and pick up one or several of these items to beautify your home.
