The Keep by F. Paul Wilson ISBN: 0812579259 Mr. Wilson has long been one of my favorite authors and this particular book lives up to his usual standards. Set in and around the Transylvanian alps, a Nazi commander is sent there to put an end to the killing of his fellow countrymen. What appears to be a simple assignment turns into a nightmare of the highest proportions. Murder and mayhem quickly spread through the castle grounds keeping the action high and the suspense moving. Peter Straub has also added his two cents and called it one of the satisfying horror novels of the year.
