The Dead Zone by Stephen King

The Dead Zone by Stephen King ISBN: 0451155750 This is the book that inspired both the movie and then the TV series of the same name. I only read the book after half-heartdly watching several of the episodes. Although the show does it justice, the book provides a whole other aspect that you just can't pick up. After spending many years in a coma after surviving a car accident, Johnny Smith waked up and begins to have psychic 'visions'. These visions begin to define his life and are ultimately his downfall. I personally would have preferred a different ending; something more uplifting, but all in all, it's a fantastic book.
